This is a suggested
ribbon for Midshipmen. To be awarded upon successful completion of certain
required goals while assigned to a submarine for training.
The minimum level of training would be specified by the force commander and then tailored to the type of submarine by the particular CO, dependent upon the nature of the submarine's mission during the training period.
The Midshipman would be required to complete the regimen and would be entitled to wear the ribbon until the time of commissioning.
It would be a standard sized uniform ribbon with a miniature set of GOLD dolphins superimposed upon a navy blue background and surrounded by a silver clasp border.
Make it a formal requirement and provide appropriate recognition.
